Unable to ping aws instance from local machine? 1. Add ICMP inbound rule to security group from any where in AWS security Group that assigned to the instance
2. Go to Windows firewall with Advanced Security -> Click on New Rule
Select Rule type as custom
Click Next
Select All Programs and click Next
Selct Protocal type as ICMPv4
And click Next
Choose “Any IP Address” click Next
Choose Allow the connection and click Next
Select All Domain , Private and Public click Next
Give Proper Name and click Finish
Add ICMPv6 rule to firewall:
Finished now you can ping the instance from any where in the world
