How to change DPI(dots per inch) settings via RDP (remote session)


You cannot change the DPI setting through a Remote Desktop session on a computer that is running Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2
By default all these settings are disabled when you connect via RDP.

But Microsoft gave the Hotfix for the above problem


Download the hot fix from below link


Right click and run as Administrator


Select Drive c:
And click ok.
Click ok. And go to c: drive location
Find the above file and double click on it.
Click Yes,


Click Restart Now, after restart login and open control Panel, Search for Display


Click on Display


By default it is set to smaller change it to Medium and click Apply
Click Log off now, log in again you’ll find the Icons and fonts in Medium size.
